Let’s try this again
“Let’s try this again” is right. This is the fourth time I’ve had to recreate this post due to technical issues.
I’m going to give blogging another shot, hopefully with more success this time. It only took a couple tries to get hooked on Twitter, so maybe this will be the one. Plus, if my Mom can do it, I can too right?
In an attempt to make things a little more exciting, I’m hosting this site on a Linux server out of my bedroom. While this is pretty sweet, I haven’t had much time to test it properly which means that the site isn’t necessarily very stable (or fast). I’ll get around to fine tuning everything eventually, but for now she’s being held together by pure luck. Speaking of fine tuning, the Twitter feed on the right doesn’t cache the data that it displays. Because Twitter limits the number of API calls allowed in a certain time span, if you refresh the page too often the feed may be disabled for a short time. It’s a known issue and is being worked on now.
In a few hours I’m leaving for Iowa. I’m planning on updating on the road so check in this week for awesome pictures of fields and corn rows. That is, assuming the server doesn’t fall apart (coin-flip odds). Feel free to leave comments, just don’t make them too mushy, vulgar, or otherwise lame. This is on the internet – people read this stuff! You’ll probably have to make an account to post, and I’ll probably have to manually accept the comment. I’m not sure, I haven’t had much time with this yet.

Keep up the good work Dee. XO – Mom
I dont twitter yet – but I can blog (but it is mostly about my kids)
